Which Japanese flavour should you start with?
Tobacco without menthol. TEREA Regular is the classic, with faint nutty and woody notes. Rich Regular brings malt, Smooth Regular black tea, Warm Regular roasted nuts and Balanced Regular herbs and citrus. Ruby Regular adds raspberry for fruit without any cooling.
Classic menthol. TEREA Mint is a balanced mint that keeps the tobacco present, TEREA Menthol is a deep menthol with peppermint and creamy notes, and Black Menthol is the strong one.
Fruit menthol. Purple Menthol (blueberry), Tropical Menthol (mango), Yellow Menthol (citrus and herbs), Bright Menthol (pear) and Fusion Menthol (lavender and pear) are all at the refreshing level. Black Purple Menthol pairs blueberry with strong cooling.
Capsule Pearls. Oasis Pearl (passion fruit), Sun Pearl (watermelon) and Riviera Pearl (raspberry and floral) let you add the fruit with a click.
How cooling levels work in the Japanese range
Philip Morris Japan groups its menthols by cooling. The Black flavours, Black Menthol and Black Purple Menthol, are labelled strong menthol. TEREA Menthol is described as a deep menthol coolness, and Mint as a balanced mint. The fruit menthols and the Pearl capsules sit at the refreshing level. The regulars have no menthol at all.
Capsule Pearls: how the click works
Each Pearl has a flavour capsule in the filter. Before the click it is a refreshing menthol. Squeeze the filter between two fingers until you feel it pop, and the fruit spreads through the menthol. One click per stick is enough; click before the first puff for fruit all the way through, or partway to change the taste mid-session.
Japan, Swiss, UAE, Kazakhstan or Indonesia?
Each market makes its own blends and uses its own flavour names, so a Japanese flavour is not simply a relabelled version of another country's stick. The Japanese range is the widest we stock and the only one with the Regular, Rich, Smooth, Warm, Balanced and Ruby regulars. Compare the other ranges on the TEREA Swiss (AED 160), TEREA UAE (AED 200), TEREA Kazakhstan (from AED 125) and TEREA Indonesia (from AED 120) pages.
Device compatibility — read this before ordering
TEREA sticks only work with SMARTCORE INDUCTION devices: the IQOS ILUMA range and the newer ILUMA i range, including ILUMA i One, i Standard and i Prime. They will not fit IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS Originals or any older holder with a heating blade; those devices take HEETS instead. If you are not sure which device you own, send us a photo on WhatsApp before ordering and we will confirm.
How to use TEREA Japan sticks
Insert a stick into your ILUMA or ILUMA i holder; ILUMA i models start heating automatically. Wait for the vibration that tells you the device is ready. Each stick lasts up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first, and FlexPuff on ILUMA i may add up to 4 extra puffs. When you finish, throw the stick away: SMARTCORE INDUCTION heats from inside the stick, so there is no blade to clean.

Cash on delivery is available in all seven emirates, and orders above AED 375 ship free.
